We are a small exclusive group of top professional ski instructors in Cortina d’Ampezzo with the purpose to offerhigh quality ski lessons. We have concentrated our activity on private lessons, for pupils of all ages, and on small classes courses of any level, for the youngest one’s.

It doesn’t matter which level or what age, we have the purpose of getting the best out of everyone.

The beginning

The Azzurra Cortina Ski School was established in December of 1979, thanks to the purpose of four ski instructors and formers of the Italian National Ski Team. The purpose was to create a ski school of prestige, with instructors who have had very successful athletic careers and a technical formation of top level.

Our philosophy

Not only ski instructors who have been part of the major and minor national teams become part of our school, but also former athletes, federal trainers and instructors, specialized ski instructors and mountain guides.

Our Champions

Bruno Alberti, winner of 6 titles of Italian Ski Champion and participant to the Olympic Games, winner of one edition of the famous ” Kandahr “Kitzbuhel, trainer for many years of the Italian National Ski, ” spirit ” of our ski school;
Gildo Siorpaes, another Italian Ski champion and trainer of the Italian Ski Team, has been always the great “engine” of the school;
Giovanni Dibona, Italian Ski Champion in Slalom, personage of relief in the international ski world;
Renzo Zandegiacomo: it has gained 2 titles of Italian Ski Champion of Giant Slalom and has made part of the famous ” blue avalanche”, the famous successful Italian Ski Team of Gustav Thoeni and Piero Gros. He has gained the title of Italian Ski Instructor champion for 8 times, World Ski Instructor champion for 1 time; he won once the title of World Champion at the World Military Ski Championship, too.
Anahid Tasgian: former Italian champion and former “Valanga Rosa”;
Walter Dimai gained once the tiltle of Italian Juniors Ski Champion.
Alberto Ghezze: 1 world title at the Universiade, former head of the Italian Women’s Ski Team;
Edoardo Zardini: 1 podium and 9 top 30 placings in the World Cup;
Moreover, these instructors has gained the title of Italian Ski Instructor Champion:
- Giovanna Tiezza (7 times, 1 world-champion title);
- Barbara Frizzarin (3 times);
- Carmen Rosoleni, Mara Tiezza, Nicola Cherubin, Walter Girardi and Jacopo Girardi(1 time).

Our ski instructors

In our team you will have the opportunity to ski with some of the best Italian skiers of the last 20 years who took part at the Winter Olympics, Ski World Championshipsand Ski World Cup. Our ski Instructors are not only people with high skills in alpine skiing, but also people with a huge passion for this sport and for the snow.
